The Run With All Your Heart, a fundraising 5K race benefiting Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, took place Saturday morning. The event, which drew a good sized crowd, started and finished at CrossFit Pohaku on Alapa Street, with the turnaround point at Old Airport Park.

The race was not timed but Thunder Frost managed to cross the finish line first, followed by Cody Crofoot. Holly Byrd was the third runner to finish, and the first female.

The race was held on to honor Big Island resident Josiah Sanarez, who was born on May 16, 2014 with a heart condition that has required multiple surgeries performed at Rady. Rady Children’s Hospital is a non-profit pediatric care facility that has helped out many Hawaiian families. It is the primary cardiovascular surgery referral program for the state of Hawaii.

All of the money for the race is going directly to Rady. Donations can also be made online at give.rchsd.org/goto/teamjosiah.
